The terms on which we provide this website, the assistance application process and our donation services. By applying or donating, you agree to them.
The four that matter most
- Applying does not guarantee funding. We may approve, reject or partially fund an application, at our discretion.
- Approved funds go directly to the partner clinic, never to the applicant.
- You must be 18 or over, or applying on behalf of an organisation with authority to do so, and everything you submit must be true.
- We are not a veterinary provider. Medical decisions rest with the treating clinic and the animal's caregiver.
Introduction and acceptance
Welcome to Hammy-Needy Animals' Hope Foundation ("Hammy-Needy", "we", "us" or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at hammy.org.in, our application process for financial assistance, and our donation services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our website, submitting an application, or donating, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
About us
Hammy-Needy Animals' Hope Foundation is a charitable initiative providing financial assistance to support veterinary care for pets, strays and community animals, working through a network of partner veterinary clinics and caregivers.
Eligibility
Our application for financial assistance is intended for individual caregivers, NGOs and community animal caretakers seeking financial support for animal veterinary care. By submitting an application, you confirm that:
- You are legally authorized to act on behalf of the animal named in the application (as its owner, caregiver, or an authorized representative of an NGO or organization)
- You are at least 18 years of age, or are submitting the application on behalf of an organization with authority to do so
- All information and documents you provide are true, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
Application for financial assistance
4.1 Application process
To apply for assistance, applicants must complete our online Application Form and provide the required supporting documentation, which may include a veterinary estimate or treatment plan, a medical report or diagnosis, proof of financial need, photographs of the animal, and identification proof of the applicant.
4.2 No guarantee of assistance
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or funding. Applications are reviewed at our discretion, based on factors including (but not limited to) the urgency and nature of the medical condition, the credibility of documentation provided, available funds, and eligibility criteria we may apply from time to time. We reserve the right to approve, reject or partially fund any application without obligation to provide reasons for our decision.
4.3 Disbursement of funds
Where an application is approved, funds are disbursed directly to the partner veterinary clinic providing treatment, rather than to the applicant, to ensure funds are used for their intended purpose. We reserve the right to request additional documentation, updates or proof of treatment before, during or after disbursement.
4.4 Accuracy of information
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you submit. We reserve the right to verify any information provided and to deny or withdraw assistance if we discover that any information or documentation is false, misleading or fraudulent. Submitting fraudulent applications or documentation may result in legal action.
4.5 Partner veterinary clinics
We work with partner veterinary clinics to deliver treatment. While we make reasonable efforts to partner with reputable, registered clinics, we are not a healthcare provider ourselves and are not responsible for the quality, outcome or conduct of veterinary treatment provided by any clinic. Any concerns about treatment should be raised directly with the treating clinic in the first instance, and you may also inform us so we can review the partnership.
Donations
5.1 Making a donation
Donations made through our website are voluntary contributions to support our charitable mission. By donating, you confirm that the funds used are lawfully yours to give and that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
5.2 Payment processing
Donations are processed through third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how payment and donor information are handled.
5.3 Use of donations
Donations are used to further our charitable mission, including disbursing financial assistance for animal veterinary care, and reasonable operational and administrative costs necessary to run the Foundation. While we strive to direct donations efficiently toward our mission, donors do not have the right to direct a donation to a specific individual case unless expressly agreed by us in writing.
5.4 Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by law or at our sole discretion (for example, in the case of a genuine processing error or duplicate transaction). To request a refund of an erroneous donation, please contact us promptly at contact@hammy.org.in with details of the transaction.
5.5 Receipts and tax benefits
If applicable, donation receipts will be issued in accordance with our registration status and applicable Indian tax law. It is the donor's responsibility to confirm the availability and applicability of any tax benefits.
Use of the website
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, the website by any third party. You agree not to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, misleading or defamatory information or documents
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our website, systems or data
- Use the website to transmit any virus, malware or harmful code
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the website without our permission
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
Intellectual property
All content on our website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the Hammy-Needy name and branding — is owned by or licensed to Hammy-Needy Animals' Hope Foundation and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Photographs, stories or information about animals or applicants shared with us may be used by us for fundraising, awareness and promotional purposes, unless the applicant has specifically requested otherwise and we have agreed to that request.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of these third-party sites. Your use of any third-party site is subject to that site's own terms and policies.

Our website and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability or availability of our website or Services.
9.2 Not a veterinary service provider
Hammy-Needy is a financial assistance and facilitation organization. We do not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment or medical advice. All medical decisions regarding an animal's care remain the responsibility of the treating veterinary clinic and the animal's caregiver or owner.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hammy-Needy Animals' Hope Foundation, its trustees, officers, employees and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our website, your application for assistance, your donation, or any treatment provided by a partner veterinary clinic. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hammy-Needy Animals' Hope Foundation, its trustees, officers, employees and volunteers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or any false or fraudulent information or documentation you submit.
Privacy
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services or applicable law. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
