Hammy's story

He was a pet hamster

Small enough to sit in a palm, big enough to fill a home.

When he fell ill, a clinic in Pune cared for him with everything it had. And when he passed on, his grieving family returned with an offer: new equipment, instruments, whatever would help them heal others.

The clinic asked for something better.

“Don’t buy us a machine. Start something. Put it in Hammy’s name, and let it care for animals whose families cannot afford it.”

So they did. A goodbye to one small animal became a promise to thousands. That promise has a name, and you already know it.

When a family arrives at a partner clinic with a hurt animal and no way to manage the care, the vet turns to us. We stand behind the treatment, and healing goes ahead.

Our partner clinics bring their own bill down for a family in difficulty, and we contribute up to the value of that reduction. Between the two, the cost falls a long way.
